RepDawn is an alarm that turns off when you finish a set of exercises in front of your phone's camera. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
The camera is used only while you exercise, to count repetitions. Video and images are analysed on your phone and are never recorded, stored or sent to us or anyone else. Only the result (for example "10 push-ups in 48 seconds, form score 91") is saved.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| A random app identifier created when you install RepDawn | To run your account without requiring sign-up |
| Device details: platform, OS version, app version, device model, language, time zone, country/region from your device settings | To make the app work correctly (e.g. alarm times, streaks) and to fix problems |
| Your alarms, settings and workout results (exercise, reps, duration, form score) | To provide the service, sync across your devices and show your stats |
| Usage events (e.g. app opened, alarm finished, screen viewed, errors) | To understand which features are used and improve RepDawn. You can turn this off in Settings › Account & privacy. |
| Crash reports: the type of error, its message and where in RepDawn's code it happened, with the app version and device model. No screen content, and email addresses or long numbers in messages are removed. | To find and fix bugs. Sent only while Share usage analytics is on; deleted after 90 days. |
| The name you choose for wake-up buddies (optional), your buddy links and invite codes | To run wake-up buddies, only if you use them (see below) |
| Email address or Sign in with Apple identifier, only if you choose to add one | To keep your data when you change phones and to sign in on another device |
| Subscription records from Apple or Google (product, dates, price, transaction identifiers) | To give you access to what you paid for and to meet accounting obligations |
Wake-up buddies is optional. When you invite a friend with a code, or enter a friend's code, you and that friend can see each other's buddy name, streak, and today's morning: whether you got up, skipped, or not yet, the time you finished and how many reps. Nothing else is shared: no video, no alarm times, no other workout history, no email. Invite codes expire after 7 days. You can remove a buddy at any time in Stats › Wake-up buddies; from then on neither of you sees the other.
If you turn on Save to Apple Health (Settings), RepDawn writes each finished morning workout to the Health app on your iPhone, as a strength-training workout with its start and end time. RepDawn only writes workouts: it does not read any data from Apple Health, and nothing from Apple Health is sent to us. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and never shared with anyone. You can turn this off in Settings, or in the Health app › Sharing › Apps › RepDawn.
These features work entirely on your device and send us nothing: the share image (it is made on your phone and only goes where you share it), the voice coach (your iPhone's own speech), and the Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets (they read your next alarm and streak from the app on the same phone).
We do not receive your card or payment details. Payments are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, health records, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising. Data is processed by our hosting and database providers only to run RepDawn, and by Apple or Google for purchases.
We keep your data while you use RepDawn. If you delete your data or your account, it is removed from our servers. Subscription transaction records are kept, without your email or other identity, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
RepDawn is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We will update this page if our practices change. Questions: rohittmg404@gmail.com.
